The 42nd Parallel
A downloadable game for Windows
The 42nd Parallel is a third person puzzle game set between the 1920s and 30s. You play Edouard, a disillusioned and tired office employee working in a huge Art Deco skyscraper - far too luxurious for how little he is paid. One day, he is summoned by his boss in her office, and will have to join her swiftly. But to do that, he will have to make sense of his workplace's strange ascension system - it seems the elevators are closed, unless the beam of light coming from the ceiling comes to touch the sensors near it. He will have to be fast - Boss M. doesn't like to wait.
While you think about the levels' puzzles and how to use the objects near you to go to the next floor, take your time and explore the weird reality Edouard seems to be living in. Is this guy alright? You can ask his empty gaze or the frienldy robots Henrys, nothing will come of them.
This game's cryptic and silly atmosphere, with a unique tone and ambience, are what we are proud of. Thank you for playing the game.
